Skills Development & Short Courses
Al-Faisal Center of the Blind offers various skill-building short courses for blind and low-vision individuals. These programs help both students and adults gain essential life, vocational, and digital skills for personal independence and employment.
Courses We Offer

Computer & Assistive Technology
Training with screen readers (JAWS, NVDA), Microsoft Office, and online tools. Courses are for students and adults. We have separate computer labs for boys and girls.

Braille Literacy
Learn to read and write using Braille. This course builds independence in reading textbooks, signs, and personal writing.

Telephone Operating
Learn to handle landline and mobile call systems. Ideal for receptionist or support desk roles in offices and organizations.

Cooking & Kitchen Skills
Special cooking classes for girls to safely cook using stoves and appliances. Focus on hygiene, confidence, and daily life independence.

Vocational Handicrafts
Sewing, embroidery, crafts, and home-based business skills. Many girls generate income through these skills from home.

Orientation & Mobility
White cane skills and indoor/outdoor navigation for safe, independent movement. Available for children and adult learners.

Accessible Sports & Games
We organize accessible games like chess. In future, we plan to add more inclusive sports to boost confidence, fitness, and fun.
